A Day In the Life Session with Jen and her boys || Documentary Family Photographer || Surrey, BC

Last month I got to hang out with Jen and her 2 sons at their home in Surrey. Jen is also a photographer, you can check out her work here. As photographers we are always taking photos of other people or even of our own kids but then we find that we are not in very many photos with them! So Jen wanted to do a session with her boys where she was actually in the photos. This day in the life session was perfect for that because they got to hang out at home and just be themselves and I just captured their day for them. These are the memories we want to remember as our kids get older, the things that we used to do with them like baking cookies, reading, watching dishes, and just playing. Here is the slideshow with all the images and below are some of my favs from our session!

Project 52 || March-June || Vancouver Family Photographer

It is now almost the end of June and my Project 52 is going on strong! I am loving taking photos every week of my girl. It has been a while so I thought I would do a blog post of some of my Project 52 photos since March. I am looking forward to taking more photos outside now that it is summer! I do post more regularly on Instagram, you can follow me here to keep up to date and see what we get up to this summer!

10 on 10 – A Day at Home and at the Park || June 2018 || Vancouver Family Photographer

I am part of a group of photographers who are doing a 10 on 10 blog circle. We each do a blog post on the 10th of the month and link to the next person. Find the link to the next photographer at the bottom of this post.

Two weeks ago I spent the weekend with my daughter and babysitting my niece and nephew. I decided that I was going to photograph our day. We started the morning off inside and the girls were playing mommy and baby. Then we played a memory game. I made them lunch and according to Ayden I am the best cook ever! (kids sure have a way of making you feel good even when all I did was make eggs, toast and hashbrowns, lol). After lunch we walked to the park and I sure am glad I took my camera because I captured some great moments!

Be sure to continue the blog circle and check out Lisa Howeler’s Blog Post HERE!

Smith Family Day in the Life || Burnaby Family Photographer

I had the pleasure of hanging out with the Smith family in March in Burnaby, BC. They welcomed me into their home and I got to photograph their adorable little family. They have a 3 year old and a 6 month old. It was so much fun hanging out and watching A, I just loved listening to her sweet voice. She is a one lucky girl, she has a big toy room filled with tons of toys! She also loves dressing up and you will see a couple of her costumes as she changed multiple times while I was there because you have to wear a different outfit for each activity of course! G got to do a bit of reading with her daddy and her big sister and then she took a nap. I just love capturing the simple everyday moments like reading and playing hide and seek. These are the moments that are going to be so great to be able to look back at and remember what life was like at a particular time. Check out the slideshow with all the images and below that are some of my favs from the session.
