Last week I went to Calgary for a few days to visit my friend Sapna. When I had booked my flight a few weeks earlier it was about -40! I sure was glad it had warmed up a LOT by the time I got there. When I was flying in it was so cool to see all the lakes and even the river were frozen! While I was visiting we went to Banff where we went ice walking at Johnston Canyon. Once we began we were very happy that we rented ice cleats because it was very icy on the mountain. Once we got to the falls, it really was the coolest thing to see everything completely frozen! Lots of photos from our hike below. The next day we went to Lake Louise. I have always seen photos of Lake Louise and was super excited to go see it and of course take photos. When we got there there was no lake (well there was underneath all the ice and snow). It was probably the most snow I had ever seen in my life. I had an amazing trip and I will definitely have to go to back to Lake Louise in the summer time when I will actually be able to see the lake.
